The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 (2015)

In the scene where a group of citizens are running out of the Capitol with gunfire and explosions taking place, the trainer was off-camera. On action, the trainer called the dog to him and the dog ran straight to the trainer. In the same scene prior to the explosions and gunfire, people are carrying birdcages and decorative dogs. All extras with animals were instructed on how to hold and handle the animals prior to shooting the scene. Trainers were off-camera to make sure everything went smoothly.

In the scene when the actress throws an object at her cat, the cat was placed above the sink by trainer to make it look as if he just came through the kitchen window. The trainer cued the cat to speak, then they used toys to get the cat to look towards camera. The cat was not in the scene when the actress threw the object at it. The cat was a stuffy in that particular scene. 

In the scene where the actors are cooking in the kitchen and the cat is lying on the table, the trainer placed the cat on the table. They got the shot and the cat was taken to a cool trailer between takes. 

The birds in the distance were created by CGI.
