In the scene when the dog lies on the ground, the woman walks in, calls the dog and he runs out of the room, the trainer brought the dog to the room and had him lie down on the ground. The trainer stood off-camera to cue the dog when it was time for him to run out of the room. On action, the trainer cued the dog and he ran out the door. The dog was rewarded with treats after they called cut.
