How To Train Your Dragon (2025)
Animal Action

In the scene where a dragon attacks a small bucolic village, and an actor opens a barn door revealing goats inside, the sheep were brought to set by their trainers on leads and were held in position by handlers off camera. The sheep were given breaks between shots and provided food and water.
As the dragon continues attacking people and we see one man holding a sheep as people disperse the area, the sheep were called to set from their holding area. On action, the handler, in costume, carried a sheep, held to his chest. After filming, the sheep was led back to the trailer.
In the scene where the villagers talk in a circle and we see a couple handlers with their sheep in the background, two sheep were called to set from their holding area. The trainers led the sheep by leads to set and placed on their marks. The handlers were in costume and holding the leads. After filming the scene, the sheep were brought back to their trailers.
In the scene where the kid sneaks the dragon into the village and he passes the sheep pen in the background, trainers brought three sheep on rope into a secure pen beside one of the village houses. Two handlers remained ten feet away from the sheep where they could monitor them at all times. The sheep were provided with hay and water in their pen and were brought back to their holding area after they filmed the scene.
