In the scene where the actor drives down a country road and he stops to let a farmer cross the road with the cows, prior to shooting handlers led the cows from the holding pen to the grassy area next to the road. Feed was placed on the road that was used to walk the cows into position. The cows were handled by wranglers in costume who ducked behind hedges to make sure cows didn’t walk off their marks. On action, the actor drove the car towards the grassy area. As the car approached, the handlers were cued to walk the cows down the road, away from the car. After calling cut, the cows were led back to their pen.
